Students Are Still Spending More Than The Average South African

Despite the global and local financial struggle, the ever-mounting pressure of keeping up with ones peers and conveying a certain image remains of paramount importance.

According to the SA Student Spend Survey 2015, students are claiming to be spending a healthy R2702 per month. So if we look at what this translates into annually, a whopping R30.4 Billion is being spent nationally within the student arena.

Are students spending more than the average South African? The short answer is yes! The average student spends on average R32 424 per annum whilst the average South African consumer is spending R25 208 per annum.
